My biggest quarrel with Prometheus wasn't the fact that it left more ambiguous questions for the viewers. It was the cardboard characters. And my other big problem with the film was the score. The score sucked. It sounded like Star Trek. I really do, but not for an alien film. Ridley Scott should have known better.
