The Incubator Model Is Not Dissimilar to Venture

In biotech, the equivalent rubric would be time to first experiment, right? Like how much time and money do I have to spend to like get to that first experiment? And that stuff has been shrinking over time. We thought you could do this in a different model where you could help the founders make fewer mistakes by basically building what looks like a team of the world's best drug discovery experts. It's not dissimilar to venture in the 80s, 90s. That's kind of how I think about parallels to Cisco as an idea at Stanford University and Sequoia investing and bringing in professional CDOs.
