The Enigma of Reason by Daniel Kahneman

Daniel Kahneman is a proponent of dual process theory. He says there are two systems in the brain, system one and system two. System one produces fast, cheap, quick, intuitive judgments but it has weaknesses. The latter system is costly so other animals can get by fine with less cognitively intensive ones.
