The poem never addresses the thing directly, but like how it's constantly manipulating these kind of echoes around fear. I've seen Ross Cypress so dark, the mind comes to them without color, which is also related to image and how we approach rendering image. And then that guesswork is part of what pulls us back into the poem as well. But like, this is like a space that is not lush, right? You know, there's a kind of lifelessness, a kind of barrenness."
