We should abandon the talk of machine intelligence, and instead we should talk about machine usefulness. We don't want machines to be intelligent. That is the frame. But if you look at the industry, at least as an outsider, I see the real driving forces, oh, can I really show some impressive capabilities that sounds like humans or looks like humans?
