What's It Like to Help People Evacuate People From Their Homes?

We've become slightly infamous in the Donbasis, these Brits who go around without a translator and our wonderful Ukrainian friends that we work with do not understand how we do it. Talking people with kindness and with respect is a universal thing. We've had so many wonderful moments that I would never probably be able to describe because they are non-verbal. You still find ways to laugh with people and joke with people. That's something that we've always been so surprised by, is that these people are so brave. Quite often when we first take someone from their home, they may be a little bit upset, but then they rally so quickly. They come with us absolutely trustingly.
