The Value of Resting in the Suffering of Holy Saturday
Why is it important that we don't just brush over the suffering of Holy Saturday and move straight on to the resurrection where Jesus has kind of gloriously raised? John: It would be very easy to make the resurrection a fantasy or an escape. So what Holy Saturday remains as is that suffering continues. But there is a dark space that many of us, with all of us residing, and many of us residing in pretty unpleasant ways.
