Willie Nelson played a very significant role in the late 1970s in introducing the Great American Songbook to a new generation of listeners. He also tours, has been touring for gosh, probably 40 years with harmonica player Mickey Raphael. Willie's authenticity and kind of seeming simplicity and quirkiness just really spoke to a lot of people of different generations.
