What Are the Most Significant Technical Challenges With City Coins?
The main breakthrough with city coins is that we were able to extend stacks as proof of transfer consensus mechanism to the smart contract level. We use something called a verifiable randomness function to determine the winner of that block based off of their contributions weighted against the total. And so basically we've seen that this process has been really useful for bootstrapping protocols because it's able to provide a native Bitcoin yield.
