The Illusion of Understanding

We live under a knowledge illusion because we fail to draw an accurate line between what is inside our head and outside our heads. We tolerate complexity by failing to recognize it, that is the illusion of understanding. Knowing we can look something up actually makes us feel smarter - but we don't always make that distinction. So we think we know so much more than we do, slo-man and firm back right.
