Jacob Rees-Mogg's First Public Comments on the Case
Harriet Harman was asked by Jacob Rees-Mogg if she could stay in place as chair of the inquiry into Boris Johnson's use of public funds. She said yes, but only because Tory whips told her they had no confidence in her and wanted to replace her with someone who would have their backing. The usual channels are a black box where senior people from both parties discuss what is going on inside Parliament.
