The Struggle of Decolonizing the Curriculum
I worry about all the ideas that I can't access through English. And also in my teaching, it is really hard to figure out how to navigate that terrain without sort of reproducing the empire of England. So let's go back to actual like examples of decolonizing the curriculum. One example that comes to mind is a music educator in Canada who basically revised their title of their course from music theory one to calling it something around the lines of Western art history music theory one. That's just one example. Another example is bringing, like for instance, in the case of South Africa and trying to bring more of a African authors in the political science curriculum.
