When You Don't Understand It, You Get Mad at It
You feel the pains that your children feel, but only if you have some way of understanding them. Empathy requires some amount of understanding. If you don't understand the pain at all, you can't feel it. When grown ups are in pain and we don't understand it, we tend to get mad at them. It was during one of those sleepless late nights that i realized i do this with everyone, not just with babies.
