Observing Gravitational Waves in the Universe
We're still not going to get further back than that one second with the nutrinos. Part of the issue is, primordial black holes. Depending on how they live and die, depending on what model you have for how they formed, you're going to see gravitational waves from different points in time. We actually have a handle on how we may be able to observe this. And that handle is polsars spinning neutron stars. If their magnetic field is out of alignement with their rotation axis, that magnetic field, every time it comes by, can flash us with radio light. That pulse is very precise and is related to the distance between us and the pole sar.
