The Life and Times of Georges Saun

In her lifetime, Saun wrote more than 50 novels. She died on June 8, 1876, just a few weeks shy of her 72nd birthday. "I think she's kind of fabulous in the way that a saucy woman who sets out to make her own life very much outside of the norms of the societal morays is pretty fun," says writer and biographer Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
