The Benefits of Using Native Image in Production

Alibaba is doing this, and that was quite interesting to find out, right? It's even more fascinating to be using native image. Now it's not all roses and unicorns and rainbows or whatever in native image. So one of the trade offs you make with native image is you get that lower memory usage and faster startup time. But some of the like long running process benefits that you get where from the JVM, where the JIT has like really optimized stuff based on actual execution, you lose some of those because it all must be done at compile time.
