How Many Hours Do You Train a Week?
There's not enough time, we think, to train like a pro nd and we don't recover well. It would be a luxury to have a six hour na or afternoon off between training sessions,. That's what the elites do, twice a day. We don't have that opportunity, so of course we train much less. There's been a paper recently which is one of the triggers for this podcast. They've described in 59 elite distance runners, ranging from track all the way to marithon, that their average training time is 400 to seven an hundred hours a year.
