The Effects of Thicker Souls on Launch Conditions

Better players prefer thinner, sold clubs because they're probably getting more consistent interaction with the turf. When you're using a chunkier soul, it's going to be maybe not more consistent. We did a test out of a bunker and we asked people to grade their strike at whether it was thin, good, or fat. And I think the interesting finding was that fat shots out of the bunker led to higher spin. If you leave that sand on the earth, sand on the club face, if you leave that on the face, you'll get mega high spin and really low ball speed.
