Is Elixir a Better Solution?
A newer language doesn't have as many of the I'll call them niche packages but maybe not even niche. Maybe some core packages you might consider that haven't been developed yet or they have been partly developed and then left alone and kind of abandoned. Image processing with Elixir isn't something that the library is out there right now having not used them. Sometimes there are Ruby gems that are just kind of critical and rather than recreate the entire thing in a lickser, sometimes it's just easier to use the Ruby gem.
