The Reluctant Theologian Podcast
Is God Surprised by the Sins of Israel?
i find myself unpersuaded that there is some deep conflict between passibility foreknowledge. To be sure, i guess you could say that jesu's knowledge of his forthcoming resurrection, thatits going to be, like temper his anxiety in that moment. But jesus still got so anxious that he sweat blood. If jesus is justified in having an emotional response like that, whilst knowing something about the future,. then i find myself unimpressed with this argument. I think we all have the very common experience of having our present emotions tempered by what will take place in the future.
