Risk Is a Necessary Part of Life
Do these things just go hand in hand automatically the tean brain and a propensity for higher risk behaviors? They do. And young people are more rewards sensitive, meaning the pleasures of life are sweeter and more intense for them. M there's also obviously social needs for belonging and that sort of thing too. These factors all combine to heighten risk taking, especially in late adolescence and early adulthood.
