The Fed's Effect on Liquidity
In 2007, let's just assume for a moment that the amount of dollars outside of the United States was 20 trillion. So you got 40 trillion in dollars created with 40 billion in bank reserves. How can you look at that and say that the Fed has anything to do with liquidity? The banks create their own liquidity.
