The True Love of God Is Rooted in Jesus Christ
Saint Romans 8 verses 35 through 39. This absolute resolution never to forsake God nor to abandon his sweet love serves as a counterweight to our souls, helping them to retain a holy equilibrium amid the inequality of this life's vicissitudes. 1. devotion does not always consist in sensible sweetness to light, consolation or tenderness of heart which moves us to size and tears. 2. Many souls who experience such tender feelings and constellations, while nonetheless not ceasing to be very vicious have no true love of God much less any true devotion.
