The Canadian Government's Part in the Removal of the Culture of the First Nations People
The Canadian government actually did take part in trying to remove the culture of the First Nations people there. They took native children from their families and put them in these residential schools. The purpose of those schools was to basically strip their native culture and give them Western culture, European culture.
