The Importance of Poetry in the Bible
The worst version of poetry is that it's just there to merely entertain. Even attempts to translate Hebrew poetry into English often fail because Hebrew is doing very specific things in the poetic forms of Hebrew or doing things that you just can't quite do in English. The Bible kind of argues with us, but not in the sense of like an argument back and forth, but in a sense of advocating something.
