The Lost Colony at Rowan Oak

Roanoke was one of the very first colonies, if not the first American colony. They had a nice little fort and they used to fight with the Native Americans. And then about two years after the colony is established, an expedition bringing supplies comes along and they find the thing totally abandoned. No sign of life. Only trace of anything was the word crow at toen carved into one of the posts that made up the fort.
