Is Your Child Asking You for Help?
I believe in always saying yes to help, but the way i define help is different. Oftentimes that's because we have done it for them in the past. We can give them a false sense of dependency when we rush in and don't practise wait. If they want me to do it, i would say, oh, i know i did that for you before. I'm not going to do it now,. And i there and i trust. Maybe my child gets upset, but that's ok. That's a healthy expression of frustration. It really makes parenting so more exciting and enjoyable and surprising. How much better their ideas are than ours for them? So we can really enjoy
