i don't think prayers should be exclusively about self expression, but also about am entering into practices. And so i think we need to understand the need to pray for leaders, whether or not we mee to like them. praying for our leaders is the practice of the h that is thousands of years old ri right? But i also think there are imprecatory type things, imprecatory psalms against putten, is completely a appropriate in this way. There are prayers in scripture say, lord, lead them to repentance, or take em out.
David and Curtis talk to Tish Harrison Warren, an author, Anglican priest, and writer for The New York Times. Then they move back to the American cultural struggles, and discuss the disturbing tendency to compare peace to war and the toxic effect on our lives and hearts.
