Bed Nets Are Free, Don't Give It Free

Abigit's colleagues ran an experiment where different groups of people received either free bed nets or cheap bed nets. The researchers then fully tracked their use. There was no correlation between how much someone paid for the net and whether they used it. And then i think now essentially everybody's giving away bednets free. Why? I think anecdotes were trumping evidence. Till that point the evidence really shut down tht anecdotes. It's not as if the people coming up the stories are necessarily malicious, or trying to draw the wrong conclusions about the world. Many of them, in fact, are deeply well intentioned and want the best things for everyone else.
