The Evolution of Neanderthal DNA

The conventional view is that modern humans originated in Africa and came out of there maybe 60,000 years ago. But everyone outside of Africa has a percentage of Neanderthal DNA in them from ancient interbreeding with Neanderthals. And what's interesting is it's in much bigger chunks than Neanderthal DNA than it is today. How often and where was this happening? We really don't know exactly where the interbreeding happened.
