What Is a Solid and a Liquid?

Theory is that atoms are like bonded together, and that's what forms this matter. So take ice, for example, those H2O molecules will be bonded together. They can't vibrate very much. There's no kinetic energy there. As ice heats up, those bonds begin to break a little bit. That's how you get that flowing shape but it's still sort of together,. But not as together as it was in a solid or gas. Those bonds are broken. They're filling the space that they're in. They're moving around a lot. It would be so sad because then you wouldn't be able to pet them. That's why God made cats solid.
