The Relationship Between Niaya and Purpose

Niaya is a project of epistemology and logic, but they are seeking ultimate happiness. Niaya fits into the project of the Vedic schools more generally. The Indian tradition of philosophy did not believe that philosophy should be simply a mental exercise. Thought was required to be put into practice, and that was the reason that philosophy has to address human purpose.
