In order to drive success in the long term, you have to understand how all the different pieces work together. I think drucker does an excellent job of pulling together all these questions in order to drive you to that. He makes the argument that managing one yourself, managing oneself demands it. You can't control everything else is going on around you at an organization, a level maybe, but you can control yourself. And if you can dot your eyes and cross your tees, and you put yourself in a much better chance to be successful.
