The governor said the olympics were frivolous, quote, what do they want? Riots? An angry group in santa monica attacked shops that had olympic penants in their windows. The games needed financial backing, but congress was like, yes, no, we're not going to do that. So as estadium, the cal sem already existed, so that yoi have to build one.
