If conscious creatures just spontaneously react to their consciousness in a way that is not reducible entirely to underlying physics and chemistry then i think the argument's going, going, falling apart. That's the cind of thogt and i do take strong emergence seriously in and connected forms of interactionis dualist dualism where consciousness plays a causal role.
