HBO knew the internet was coming and yet they didn't do anything about it. They were very much trapped by their own success in the cable universe. After that proposal was shot down to buy Netflix, they then decided, okay, well, we're not going to buy Netflix. What's our game plan? They came up with something called my HBO, which was, I guess, because my space was still pretty big at that point.
