When there's so much happening around women, they start turning against their own bodies. So if you are living in a conservative society, patriarchal society, on top of that there is this kind of militarization and there'sproper conflict brewing on going, then what do women do at that point? Who do they turn to? It they almost like dual recipients of violence. And at that point, and it's something, after i wrote about it, i've spoken to some journalists who also said, spoke about when they lose control, how they sort of engage in self harm.
