The Rapture of the Nerds
There are some strange parallels to anyone who has a theological or Christian religious background. It's very, very much borrowing from religious visions and Christian ideas. Julian Huxley in 1957 is kind of looked at as the originator of secular transhumanism. And he's very deliberately pulling from the Christian tradition. He's essentially saying, we want Christianity without the kind of baggage.
