Top Gun Maverick Is the Trashier Version of Top Gun

Top Gun Maverick features this deep reservoir of feeling that it is channeling. The subgenre has to have a more prestigious, I guess I don't want to use that one again. It's funny you should say Top Gun, because one of the movies in my honorable mentions is Iron Eagle which famously came out the same year as Top Gun and essentially has more or less the same plot.
