In 19 86, a decision to run a test involved shutting down a lot of the er safety systems. The question theywre trying to answer was could the reactor sort of self cool? It was an incredibly reckless experiment by scientists and engineers who were not qualified to do it. And then when they slammed on the emergencys shut down, it triggered a massive explosion.
