Shot Spotter in Chicago
i looked at any report that wasn't compiled by the shot spotter marketing department, i came across very different numbers. On an average day in chicago, there are more than 61 shot spotter initiated police deployments that turn up no evidence of any crime, let alone gun crime. In august, ch Chicago's office of inspector general's public safety section reported that the police department data it examined does not support a conclusion that shot spotter is an effective tool in developing evidence of gun related crime.
