The Opposition's Proposed Changes to Negative Gearing

Opposition leader Bill Shorten has proposed changes to negative gearing if they get into power. If you buy a new property after one July 2020, we will allow you to negatively gear it. The ones that will be impacted is anyone who buys a property with their proposed changes. But I don't think there's any chance in hell that they would make this legislation grandfathered. So essentially I'm not doing it for any year on year tax advantage.
