The Templars are a wing of Christendom that is outside the bounds of orthodoxies. Even though it took root and captured hearts and minds for five generations, at some point it was still kicked out. The hospitalers had their founding principle on helping as opposed to conquering. We'll get to their sort of their glories and their agonies in the next podcast.
