In a very real sense, the Khmer Rouge armies were overwhelmingly rural. Young people at Cambodia at the time was an incredibly poor country. Large regions of the country were essentially isolated from urban life. And so, you know, there was this very strong anti-urban sort of tendency in theKhmer Rouge revolution.
