Romans 13 - Is Paul Controversial?
In Romans 13, Paul says governments have god's permission to use the sword force against evil. The Bible is dealing with an ideal world where there shouldn't be any wars and capital punishment or even prisons. But in our world we tend to worry about too much government,. but in the ancient world, the real danger was not another law - it was anarchy. And so i think that kind of dovetales n what jesus says about blessed are the peace makers.
