When we are not safe in our bodies, it means that at some level we're on alert, akind of looking for danger. That limits our capacity to really connect with ourselves and other people. So when we feel completely safe and calm, like i do now talking to you, i can notice what you're showing in your face. I can be aware of the thoughts coming through my head,. discarding what i choose not to say. And that our band width of connection is broader. We are emotionally and psychologically and physiologically kind of allined and connected with each other.
