Can a federal official pardon the wells can they find themselves? That was the one I was trying to come up with. Legally, the president or commander in chief has the power to pardon. But it doesn't say you cannot pardon yourself. A pardon is acknowledging that a crime occurred. It's not explicitly forbidden.
