Empowering Your Relationships
Empowerment means at some point, you parents must allow your kids to learn self control. For a relationship to be empowering, there cannot be cold dependency. When our children obey out of fear, they will always back fire on us because their emotional wall will go up. It's one thing to have needs, is another thing to be needy. You can't empower any one if you yourself are needy and clingy. So sure, we must meet one another's needs, but up to a reasonable degree,. Most of our needs should be met by jesus.
