The Role of Mother Wounds in Friendships
Louise Moore: I see a lot of women who have a mother wound or a relationship with mom that wasn't authentic, shall we say. Not having an authentic relationship with your mom doesn't mean she stepped into the house and completely invalidated your ignoring. She might have been pretending to be okay. And so you never really got that true vulnerability with her and true connection. The pain of comparison is never truly having a safe spacereally with women that you can go in and reflect...and get a true sense of who you are.
