I'm with Teresa in doing more to improve work opportunities for older workers and strengthening the safety net. It is not smart policy to cut benefits, presuming people can work longer. The wealthiest couples retiring next year will get $100,000 a year of social security benefits. Fast forward 50 years from now, it's $250,000 or so in today's dollars. There's plenty of money for us to take just a little bit of that from the highest earners going forward"
